Professor Lubala is a pediatrician native of the Democratic Republic of Congo, where he grew up. He is a Professor of Pediatrics, Syndromology and Dysmorphology at the University of Lubumbashi (DRC) and Université Nouveaux Horizons (Lubumbashi, DRC). He received a doctorate in Pediatrics, a master’s degree in Pediatrics, and a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences at University of Lubumbashi.

His research focuses on birth defects, Dysmorphology and Developmental disorders. His work has appeared in esteemed publications such as European Journal of Medical Genetics, Clinical Dysmorphology, Human Mutations and Lancet environmental health.
